Safety

Safety is placed as the number one priority at Caledonian. Without safety, quality and profit are transient at best. In it's seven years of business, Caledonian has a perfect safety record.

Safety Training Program
Caledonian employs Tower Safety Services for the purpose of employee safety training.

Tower provides us with a structured safety program to suit the needs of our company. Classes are held on a weekly basis.The program ranges from a basic introduction to safety all the way through to advanced classes specifically designed for the needs of our high-rise division. Please visit our OPOS page for an example of advanced training.

Classes are mixed between a classroom setting and onsite training. All employees attending classes are paid for time spent in the class.

Ongoing Safety

On-Site
Before starting any type of work at Caledonian, employees must hold an on-site safety meeting. These supervisor led meetings serve to:

  1. Plan the work ahead in the most effective manner using safe working practices.
  2. Review all relevant safe working practices.
  3. Identify any potential safety hazards/problems

In-House
Within the warehouse at Caledonian, all equipment is separated into areas pertaining to the relevant Cal OSHA codes. At each equipment location, we have safety notice boards clearly highlighting;

  1. Pre-use inspection criteria for type of equipment stored at that location
  2. Cal OSHA code requirements for type of equipment stored at that location
  3. Correct operational procedures / safe working practices for type of equipment stored at that location
